Background: Olimar is a delivery captain who crash landed on the Pikmin planet. He is forced to command the Pikmin to do his bidding in order to retreive the pieces of his ship unharmed. The Pikmin are a plant-like species in the game and come in multiple colors, each with their own abilities. In Pikmin 3 Olimar is kidnapped. He is of a very small species and uses a whistle built into his helmet to rally the Pikmin.

Thoughts: Even if he wasn’t confirmed I still would have kept him in. Sure he needs tweaking as I found him easily defeat-able in Brawl, but he’s very unique and represents a popular game series. Plus he is kind of funny. No signs of the new rock or flying Pikmin yet though.
