Debut: Klonoa: Door to Phantomile (1997)
Kirby Hat: Klonoa’s hat
Alternative Textures: Summer Klonoa, Red Collar Klonoa
Audience Cheer: KLO-NO-A
Stances: Klonoa stands clasping his Wind Bullet. When idle, he will cross his arms and let his ears flap behind him in the wind.
Background: Klonoa is a naive boy with an imbued sense of justice. He is imbued with the Wind Bullet, a magic ring that uses wind powers to lift, throw and defeat foes as well as allowing him to double jump. He unknowingly He is known as the “Dream Traveler” and is fated to travel to various places where the state of dreams are in danger, though this is not to his knowledge.
Reasoning: A more feasible and aesthetically fitting Namco character than Pacman or any others. Also he has had several games, most of which had decent success.
Probability: Considering his name is not thrown around as much in the forums as perhaps it should be, I’d venture the likelihood of his inclusion is well under 50%.
Abilities: Wind bullet, floating, hover board, throwing enemies and whirlwind attacks
Final Smash: I’d imagine it would be something relating to a nightmare OR having him summon Guntz, Popka and Pango to aid him in battle.
Thoughts: I have not played any of his games and I am a bit afraid that his moves would have to be re-imagined quite a bit to give him a full set. Otherwise I love his look and persona over Pacman bar-none and since it is likely that we will see a Namco character who is not from a fighting game already, I’d say he has a decent shot. Also, I like the opportunities to include an extra enemy character like Janga.
